Questions about the Show
At Medieval Times, we offer a boisterous, family-friendly experience inspired by an 11th-century feast and tournament. You’ll be served a 4-course banquet as you cheer for one of six knights competing in the joust and other tests of skill.
Prepare for 2 hours of adventure set in Medieval Spain. Highly trained knights will joust and show off their swordsmanship in hand-to-hand combat, along with displays of horsemanship and majestic falconry.
Medieval Times is based upon authentic Medieval history and is the true story of a noble family with documentation dating back to the 11th Century.
We welcome our adult guests to imbibe at our vast bar, while everyone can procure goods at our gift shop, peruse medieval artifacts in the Hall of Arms and – if you can muster your courage – duck into the Museum of Torture.
It is! Children under the age of 3 are admitted free as long as they sit on adults’ laps and eat from their plate. If you prefer the child to have his or her own seat and meal then the child rate would apply.
The show is approximately two hours long.
Yes, the show uses stroboscopic effects.
Certainly, for accessible seating, let our staff know upon arrival that you require accessible seating and we will make accommodations. When purchasing tickets online, you may also check “Show me ADA/Accessible Seating” and we will reserve your accessible seating ahead of time.
The Castle gates open 60 minutes prior to showtime, and we recommend you arrive as early as possible. Many shows sell out and it takes time to get everyone in efficiently and safely.
Most definitely, we just ask that people refrain from hats or headdresses that may block the view of other guests during the tournament. Also, weapons are not allowed, even fake ones.
We do, visit our gift shop to browse merchandise, including costumes and medieval toy weapons.
Questions about Tickets
Seating at the Castles is limited and reservations are strongly recommended. Our online ticketing allows for viewing of showtimes as well as purchase of tickets and enhancement packages. Visa, MasterCard, Discover/Novus, American Express and traveler’s checks are accepted.
The performance schedule changes depending on the castle location. Choose your castle to view upcoming shows near you.
With the exception of our Toronto Castle, all Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament Castles offer free on-site car, bus and handicapped parking. At our Toronto castle, public parking lots are available on the grounds. Seasonal rates apply.
Different packages contain different features, like an announcement during the show or cake for every guest. To see the difference between all of the packages, visit the “Ticket Packages” page for your castle.

Questions about the Food
Guests feast on garlic bread, tomato bisque soup, roasted chicken, sweet buttered corn, herb-basted potatoes, dessert of the Castle, coffee and two rounds of select non-alcoholic beverages. Adult guests can enjoy alcoholic refreshments from our full-service bar. Vegetarian meals are available upon request, simply let your server know.
We sure do. The vegan meal includes a generous serving of hummus with carrot and celery sticks, a main course featuring three-bean stew with fire-roasted tomato and brown rice, and a choice of fresh fruit or Italian ice for dessert. The vegetarian option includes all of these vegan dishes along with a side of warm pita bread.

Yes, we must request a photo ID for alcohol purchases. In the United States, guests must be at least 21 years old. In Canada, guests must be at least 19 years old.
Silverware is available upon request.

We are currently not doing meet-and-greets under COVID-19 protocols, but typically there is a meet and greet experience both before and after the show. Contact your local castle for specific details and protocol around COVID-19.
