Inbound Customer Service Representative

Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament, America's #1 dinner attraction, is seeking Part-Time Inbound Customer Service Representatives to work approximately 18 to 22 hours a week for its fast-paced Contact Center located in Lawrenceville, Georgia at Discover Mills Mall. The ideal candidate will be able to work a flexible schedule, which may include leaving early or staying past originally scheduled hours based on business needs. Various shifts and schedules available, which includes weekends and some holidays.

Duties include assisting customers with reservations, selling additional products/services, and consistently offering exceptional customer service.

Requirements include:

  • High School Diploma
  • 1 - 2 years in a customer service/reservations environment; ideally where upgrading/up-selling packages were offered.
  • Computer literate
  • Strong organizational and attention to detail skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and both verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to work as an integral part of a team
  • Ability to handle customers with a professional manner
  • Bi-lingual a plus
  • Must be able to type, be on the phone, and remain seated for an entire shift (other than breaks, where applicable).

Sound and Lighting Manager

The most popular choice for individuals and large groups, Medieval Times Dinner and Tournament is North America's leading dinner attraction.  Medieval Times employs over 1,600 employees throughout North America and Canada.

Medieval Times seeks a highly motivated, experienced professional to manage the Sound and Lighting Department for its Lawrenceville, GA location. This position requires strong technical skills, as well as the ability to manage a team.

Responsibilities include:
•    Oversees all sound and lighting equipment in the S & L booth and in the balance of the castle to insure proper operating standards and conditions
•    Requests replacement equipment as desired
•    Oversees preventive maintenance of all S & L equipment
•    Develops and maintains a schedule for the replacement of all show lights to prevent failure during a show.  Insures that all lights are functioning.
•    Maintains current inventory of all S & L equipment
•    Ensures show quality by managing the quality and timing of the sound presentation and lighting presentation of the show
•    Coordinates with and directs all speaking role cast members on proper use of sound equipment
•    Manages all special effects and safety equipment (fog machine, pyrotechnics, net, etc.) to perform as required
•    Interviews and makes recommendations for hiring decisions
•    Manages each employee's training including, but not limited to, his or her understanding of their role in the show, castle policies and castle regulations
•    Manages scheduling and timekeeping procedures as established by GM
•    Counsels employees, prepares discipline paperwork as necessary

Requirements include:

•    High School Diploma; Bachelor's degree preferred
•    2 - 3 years experience with sound and lighting equipment or equivalent training
•    1 - 2 years managerial/supervisory experience preferred
•    Knowledge of basic electricity and signal flow theory
•    Knowledge of minor electrical equipment operation
•    Computer skills
•    Ability to climb and work at high levels
•    Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time
•    Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
•    Problem solving skills - ability to troubleshoot equipment
•    Ability to read equipment specifications
•    Ability to work varied hours including nights, weekends and holidays

Sound Operator

Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament in GA is looking for a Sound Operator. The Sound Operator contributes to a quality performance by operating the controls for sound equipment utilized by performers and directors.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES:
•    Confers with producers, performers and others to determine and achieve the desired sound for show
•    Regulates volume level and sound quality during performance
•    Reports equipment problems and ensures that required repairs are made
•    Sets up, tests and adjusts equipment for live performances
•    Synchronizes and equalizes prerecorded dialogue, music and sound effects with visual action of performers using control consoles
•    Additional duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
•    Knowledge of computer hardware and software
•    Ability to watch gauges, dials or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly
•    Ability to understand written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents
•    Problem solving skills - ability to troubleshoot equipment
•    Ability to adjust actions in relation to others' actions
•    Ability to detect or tell the differences between sounds
•    Ability to concentrate on a task over a period of time
•    Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs
•    Ability to stand and/or sit for extended periods of time
•    Ability to work varied hours/days, including nights, weekends and holidays, as needed
•    Ability to tolerate heights

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:
•    High school diploma or equivalent
•    1 year experience preferred
